Lionel Messi’s Father Denies Son’s Move To Inter Miami

Lionel Messi’s father and agent have denied reports that he has agreed to join Inter Miami and purchase a 35% stake in David Beckham’s franchise when his contract with PSG expires next year.

Messi signed a two-year contract with PSG last summer after leaving Barcelona, where he scored 672 goals in 778 games.

After failing to replicate his peak form, scoring only 11 goals in 33 appearances for the French club, his long-term future in Paris has been questioned.

Front Office Sports reported on Tuesday, May 17, that the Argentine will leave PSG when his contract expires and head to Miami to join Beckham’s MLS club, while also acquiring a 35% stake in the club.

However, according to French publication Le Parisien, as reported by TMZ Sports, Messi’s agent and father Jorge has called reports of his son agreeing to join Inter ‘completely false.’

‘Leo has not yet decided on his future,’ Jorge is quoted as saying. And if Leo Messi has met David Beckham in the last few hours, it was only as part of PSG’s visit to Doha, where the former English midfielder is serving as an ambassador for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.’
