The newly confirmed Coach Otto Addo-led four-man Black Stars technical team have announced a 33-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the international friendlies.
Ghana will square off against Madagascar on June 1 before playing the Central Africa Republic four days later.
The Black Stars will also be involved in the Kirin Cup tournament in Japan next month as part of preparations for the World Cup.
The four-time African champions will be welcoming the services of experienced midfielder Mubarak Wakaso, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Jonathan Mensah after the trio missed out on the World Cup qualifiers in March.
two locally-based players namely Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Augustine Okrah have also earned their call-ups to coach Otto Addo’s squad but the key absentee is vice-captain Thomas Partey, who is recuperating from his thigh injury sustained in April.
