Why did Kendrick chose Ghana over other Africa Countries to market his New released Album? It’s really surprising to see Kendrick chose Ghana over Nigeria, South Africa, Seychelles etc to advertise his new Album.
American rapper Kendrick Lamar has launched a new campaign to spread his presence in Ghana and promote his new album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’. This album follows Lamar’s Pulitzer-winning 2017 album Damn.
Apparently, Kendrick didn’t feature any Ghanaian musician on his album. But the American rapper is in Ghana in collaboration with Spotify to promote his new album. Ghana woke up this morning to see his released songs on several ‘Trotro’ vehicle in Accra.
This act is typical of Ghanaian musicians. Sincerely, less of Ghanaian does that, excluding Sarkodie and Shatta Wale. The two Ghanaian acts have used same medium before, Shatta – ‘Reign Album’, Sark – ‘No Pressure’. But looking at the whole thing, this is nothing but pure creativity. Whoever brought the idea has done so well.
